Nexplanon Removal. Had my Nexplanon in for just under 3 years and had it removed 2 days ago. Feeling very unstable, hysterical, depressed and just not at all myself. Will this go away in time? Or will getting a new nexplanon put in make it go away? I was wanting to go on the Progesterone Only Pill or the Depo Shot would this relieve my symptoms?

Hi.
The symptoms you're experiencing following the removal of your Nexplanon implant could be related to hormonal changes in your body. Nexplanon is a long-acting contraceptive implant that releases a progestin hormone, and its removal can lead to fluctuations in your hormone levels. These fluctuations can affect your mood and emotional state.
It's common to experience emotional changes or mood swings after stopping hormonal contraception as your body adjusts to the change. These symptoms often improve with time as your body's natural hormonal balance is restored.
Getting a new Nexplanon implant or switching to another form of hormonal contraception (like the progesterone-only pill or the Depo shot) may alleviate these symptoms by providing a steady level of hormones. However, each form of contraception can have different effects, and what works for one person may not work for another.
Both the Depo shot and the progesterone-only pill are hormonal methods and can have their own side effects, including mood changes. The response to these methods varies from person to person.
Consider other factors that might be influencing your mood and emotional state, such as stress, lifestyle changes, diet, exercise, and sleep patterns.
Good luck.
