I just started Seasonale a month ago! I've been lightly bleeding the whole time, and also major pain in my ovaries like everyday :( It's around the time my period starts (without the pill) and now I'm bleeding like I'm on my period with the same amount of cramps :( it's only my first month on the pill and I never missed a pill, and took them at the same time daily.. I hope this goes away, I'm taking the pill because I have extremely bad periods that affect my life :( I hope It doesn't last long! (had to create an account)

hey there,
I've been taking seasonale for over a year now, but when i first started, i had EXACTLY what you were describing only i had extreme bleeding very heavy, i had to change a tampon every hour. the only difference is that my bleeding lasted for 55 days. my doctor said that that only happened because of my extremely strong hormones, (which led me to try seasonale so i wouldnt have two week long periods anymore) she also said that it was a one in 50 chance of that happening (lucky me) but good luck, and i would wait to see your doctor untill you take the white pills, after i did, it was sweet relief to start on the pink pills. every cycle goes down for bleeding like that, it also only takes around 3-6 months for your body to get used to it. If youre like me, who is going to be on seasonale for 5-6 years, i would pull through the bleeding, after all, what doesnt kill you makes you stronger

feel better on the cramps department :) i would try hot tea, and a hot water bottle paired with cramp medicine, try 'exact' its a knock-off brand of midol, and it works loads better.

I am not new to BC, but was on a hiatus for many years. I wanted to have fewer peiords and my GP recommended Seasonale. I'm on my first 3-pack and I got 5 weeks period free. Week 6 spotting started, got heavier and is very light now, 6 weeks later!  I am also having extreme night sweats and bloating. Am I right to assume that this is not the right medication for me? I am not interested in spotting for months on end anymore.

Transanimic acid will help stop the bleeding. Happened to me and was hospitalized with a blood transfusion because of period bleeding.

I had my monthly last Sunday and now I'm on the white pills (seasonale). Will it be safe if I stop taking it now?
