Stopped Cerazette 8 weeks but no period HELP

Hello, I'm pretty much in same boat. I was on the cereazette for about 3 years no breaks always took it in time. My periods stopped all together I got no bleeding inbetween nothing. I thought it was normal. About 2 and half years down the line I started getting this unsal pressuare pain in my belly. So I went doctors he had a feel of my belly and then sent me for a ultra sound, the results came back as I have cysts on my ovaries. He told me to come off the pill. And see whether it was due to the pill causing the cysts on my ovaries or whether I had poloy cysts ovary syndrome. He said I should get a period in about 3 months this was on the 31st October 2013 so on the 18 December 2013 I got what I thought was a period bad belly ache bleeding etc. Lasted for about five days was expecting to come on again 28 days later. But was and am late getting slight aches like period pain. I absolutely hate this pill and what's it's done to my body. My emotions are everywhere it's putting my relationship on the edge :( Can anyone tell me what's happening.

I am 47 and started taking cerezette to control my periods, they were very heavy and painful, I only took it for 2 months and stopped taking it because I ended up bleeding for weeks on end. Since stopping it I have not had any periods at all for over 6wks I am 99% sure I am not pregnant. If I had known the true extent of this pill I would never have touched it. Lets hope they appear soon as some other users have said and I will just have to be patient.

Hi I had been taking this pill for 9years without any problems. My periods had stopped but this was fine for me. I came of Cerazette on the 9th May 2014, and after reading all the worrying things on the internet i thought my periods would never return. But i have to say that they have on the 6th june 2014 only 29 days since stopping the pill. As much as there is alot of bad things about this pill online i have to say that i have had a positive experince over the whole time.

I hope everything turns out ok for you but stay postive.

Hi there, I'm so glad I found this thread although I can see most of the posts are about a year old. Can people share their experiences with me about coming off cerezette and how long it took you to get your withdrawal bleed? I stopped taking it 8 weeks ago and haven't had any withdrawal bleed yet and it's really worrying. Help!

Hi, I stopped taking cerazette 7wks ago and still no period either, but having constant sore breasts and keep getting negative preg test results:-( I went off this pill a few years ago and had no problems with my periods coming back, no idea why its so diferent this time.

Have your periods returned yet? I'm 15weeks and counting - still nothing. The stress surely can't help although I'm feeling reassured after reading some of the previous posts that it has taken them up for 4-6 months for their normal cycle to return.

I came off cerazette 11 months ago & have still not had a period.
Was on cerazette following the birth of my child who is now 4. Prior to this I was on the combined pill and had no problems getting my periods back / ttc first time around.
My advice is don't wait too long before going to see your gp, I hung on "waiting" for months, and am now being referred to fertility clinic but am having to wait up to 3 months.

Just been reading all these post's about cerrazette!! Yes, I agree with the most of you . I myself had been on the pill for many year's , and my doctor said with my age it was time to change. So went on cerrazette and was taking it for about 3 year's. Now 50! Thought it was time to stop, and give my body a rest. Wish I had carried on now, the pain and bloating is terrible. So think twice and yes no period's?

Hi I was on cerazette for 6 months and bled for the majority of the time while on it so I stopped. After about 4 wks I had a period. That was one month ago. I should have had another period by now but I haven't and I'm freaking out that I may be pregnant although I have no signs of pregnancy or period coming other than being bloated. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Hi,

I took Cerazette for 8 years and I came off of it 26 months ago - over 2 years now!!! I had had 6 periods in the meantime, last one being 5 months ago. I asked my Dr several times if it was healthy for me to continue on this pill, she said yes there was no problem as I had no troubles with it. I have asked my Dr since if I will have problems conceiving and she told me that this is normal for your body after coming off the pill.

Every now and then my breast feelsore and appear heavier. I become emotional and my tummy is bloated with severe cramps.

I am taking Ashwaganda daily in the hope that I'll start menstruating.

Can someone please give me some advise????

I started cerazette and my period lasted 3 weeks, I came off it not even a month into it because the constant period was tiring me, since being off it, I have had no period for almost a month now, it's so frustrating because as I'm only 17 and always safe when using condoms with my boyfriend, my doctor is making me take constant pregnancy tests just to make sure as I'm so so late before I start the patch (another contraceptive as the pill wasn't right for me) never again will I take cerazette!!!

I was taking Cerezette for 6 years - recently developed lack of libido and it was slowly getting worse! Stopped taking it on 30 January 2016 and today have started my period. Period is only a tiny bit but it's a start on getting back to normal. Hope this helps

Glad I found this post I'm hoping some of you will reply, was on cerazette for a year never missed a pill only couple of small bleeds in whole time I've come off it2 weeks ago ttc 4 - no sign of period yet tests negative and ovulation says no way, I already have 12year old twins and an 8 yr old no probs conceiving I had regular periods 28 days before the pill, I am 34 but Am sooooo bloated headaches shattered nauseous dizzy it's horrible!!!!!!!

So relieved I found this post. I was on Ovranette for more than 20 years with no problems. Conceived within a month of coming off with both my kids now 10 and 6. GP changed me to Cerazette and I took it for about 9 months with no periods, I did get pains though. Came off about 10 weeks ago as I felt exhausted and thought it was maybe to do with the pill after ruling everything else out. Still no period, my boobs are agony, really bloated, skin and hair feel awful. I did 2 pregnancy tests about a month ago both negative, doc thinks I've started menopause and wanted me to go onto HRT, I'm only 45! I think I'll just wait now and see if my periods return, do not recommend this pill at all.
