I recently had cortisone injections in my lower back in the sacroiliac joints. The next day I started having problems with my muscles with pain and cramps. That was 5 weeks ago. The cramps are better, but I feel like I have the flu...ache all over. Is this a reaction to the cortisone? Could this interfere with my synthroid and letting it work properly in my body? HELP! SAJ

I had a cortisone shot to my knee for a slight meniscus tear, in Dec.
The reactions started a month later, when my digestive system started acting up to the point where I didn't want to eat and proceeded right into heart
palpitations, intense pressure around my chest right below my breast, hot & cold flashes and high blood pressure. A physical and EKG showed no cause for this condition. Then I noticed that my knee started to
swell again. I put 2 + 2 together to surmise that when the cortisone started to dissolve and leave my body, these 2 areas were revolting.

I am an herbalist so started a soothing digestive and nutritive protocol to enhance this detoxing process. Then started an herbal heart tonic, adding specific herbs for my symptoms. After 3 days, symptoms decreased and after 2 weeks, my blood pressure and eating have returned to normal.
In the meantime, my knee is swollen up like a balloon. I am acquiring a product from biogenesis to decrease the knee, before having surgery.
