About 3 weeks ago I had a cortisone shot in my left knee due to arthritis pain and it has definitely helped. About a week to 10 days later i started haivng general and extreme aching in my left leg and back. It just won't quit! I'm wondering if the shot could have instigated an FMS flareup or if it is probably unrelated.

I am a diabetic and after a cortizone shot in my knee my blood sugar went thru the roof (over 500) and hasn't come down below 162 since 1 week ago. Also now I am getting extreme cramps behind the knee where the shot was given, so much so that I am up all night with the cramps.
The doctor is of no help and doesn't seem to know what to do. He did not warn me of these side effects. I guess there is just too much money in giving the shots
