Hello. I have been on birth control for three years now and pretty much know the ins and outs. Recently, I have been having unprotected sex and have had no problems. Just three days ago, I had unprotected sex and a day after I had itchyness and redness. I thought this to be a yeast infection so I treated it the best I could with Vagisil. THEN bleeding occured the day after I used the Vagisil. Not heavy bleeding. It is extremely light and usually only shows up as light reddish brown. What could this mean? Do I have an STD or is this a miscarraige? I would LOVE any advice you might be able to provide! Thank you!

Vagisil only treats the itching. You need Monostat and you may need to see a doctor for a prescription. Yeast infections can happen because of sex but they're not an STD, so you shouldn't be embarrassed. They can just occur out of the blue.
