My Mother is in a nursing home, and, out of no where she started having these water blisters to appear on here upper thigh area. Since my Mom is of sound mind, I asked her if someone got the water too hot? She stated that , that never happened. She is pretty much bed ridden because of weakness in her legs, but, the nurses can not give us a valid reason as to why the blisters come up. Can you please up me figure this out, so that I can help protect my Mom from these painful blisters.

Water blisters are caused by friction. Perhaps look into the clothes she's wearing or if she's doing any physical therapy for her leg weakness. I've had water blisters and it was caused almost certainly by the type of jeans I had bought (they were rough in just that one spot) but it doesn't have to be jeans. I suggest you get her a few light dresses and make sure she doesn't have her legs rubbing together too much or anything. I'm surprised the nurses at the home couldn't tell you that. Then again, maybe I'm not. Incompetence runs rampant at nursing homes.

Hope I helped. Best of luck!
