I have been weening off of clonazepam for 7 weeks now. My doctor kept increasing the dosage instead of sending me to therapy. I was diagnosed with panic disorder 26 years ago. I have been on different anti depressants and different benso's xanax then clonazepam. I have been on the clonazepam for so long I can't remember> My dosage before finally being send to a phyciatrist was 18 mgs a day. I am now on my 8th week the doctor tapered me from 18mgs to 2mgs in 8 weeks and thought this was a slow ween it is not Ihave been in hell for 8 weeks severe body pain, extreme headaches, severe aniexty see I can't even spell. severe loss of appetite. I have lost 15pounds ina short amount of time. Not from exercise. I have no energy and the body pain keeps me from exercising or doing housework like washing the floors it feels like my back is going  to break in two. Even my teeth hurt. I live in a small city that has a major shortage of doctors and mental health workers

so I can't get a second opinion and it's a long waiting list to see a shrink or get into therapy. My doctor is very stubborn and doesn't like to told what to do by a shrink or the shrinks nurse practioner. He gets his nose out of joint and I end up not getting proper treatment from him.He doesnt believe me when I tell him about the severe body pain. I'd like to write more but my back is killing me from just this amount of time at the computer I dont have family support so I'm basically alone in this. Thankness for this forum
