4. Total body workout - low intensity cardio workout: jogs in place
This exercise targets: calves, hamstrings, quadriceps, glutes, shoulders, back muscles and abdominals
For this exercise, you will need: no equipment
Stand relaxed with your feet shoulder-width apart while pushing your arms overhead. Try to kick high, as if you're kicking your own butt and really use your arms to raise the heart rate.
Tips:
Jogging will make your heart beat faster, and if you use your hands, it will be even more intensive for your body.
Advanced: You can use light dumbbells – this way you will add more resistance and will work on your shoulders too.
The faster you go, the more calories and fat you burn, and better workout for your cardiovascular health.
Don’t hold your breath.
Beginners: perform 1 set for 1 minute
Intermediate level: perform 2 sets for 1 minute; 2 minute pause between sets
Advanced level: perform 3 sets for 1 minute; 2 minute pause between sets
