I've been taking the pill for about half a year but I also suffer with depression. I don't want to feel bad so someone suggested that I could take St. Johns Wort to make me feel better, I took it for a week but then found out it interferes with the birth control. I only take the pill for cramps & to lighten the heavy flow but I need something to help me. If I keep taking St. Johns Wort will it make the cramps & flow go back to how it was or does it just make you more likely to get pregnant? Or is there anything else I can take that will help my depression but won't stop how the birth controls affects on my period?

I know usually when you mix other medications with the pill it doesnt make it as effective. But that usually depends on the type of medication your mixing..
