I had my last cortisone shot on July 25th (had a series of 3..two weeks apart). This was for my right hip (Piriformis Snydrome) Two hours after my shot, my other leg goes bad. Extreme pain..unable to sleep and was crying most of the night. I called my pain specialist but he was out of the office and no one there at the office could help me. So I went to emergency to find out the problem. They told me that my reflexes where good and nothing major was wrong with me. They didn't order xrays or anything, just gave me a pain shot and sent me home.

On July 30th, my pain specialist saw me. He said to me it looks like a herniated disc (L5 region), then said he would order some xrays for me. I said how about a CAT Scan and he said lets do xrays first. That doesn't show if I have a disc problem. Well, xrays showed I have a degenerative bones and minor arthritis. They said they would see me on my follow up appointment (Aug 22nd).

The symptoms I am having is: my left leg has a numbing sensation from my knee to my toes (also under my foot). And also numbing in my butt/hip region. I can barely walk. I get charlie horses every night. I have a throbbing pain in my upper leg. And I have fluid above and around my knee.

Went to see my primary the other day and he told me that I might have tendinitis (cant spell). I asked for a CAT Scan. He told me that he could not help me. This is my primary. Give me a break.

I go and see my pain specialist on Thursday. Once again I am going to ask for a CAT Scan. I need to know what is going on with me, not just guessing what is wrong with me. This is crazy. I can't do the activities I enjoy because of this.

Thanks for listening!
