How can this drug still be on the market? I have reviewed the official website for Cymbalta and there are NO withdrawal symptoms noted. I specifically seached for those words in quotes; nothing! I am on day 13 of my withdrawal and am in the middle of what they call "akathisia". It is the most awful pain I have ever been in including major cancer surgery. The vertigo, brain zaps that feel like a cattle prod on the back of your neck, nausea, weakness, irritability and muscle/joint pain are intolerable. I slept only 3 1/2 hours of the first 64 on withdrawal. I also was prescribed AmbienCR for my insomnia while on this medication and had a black-out where I cracked two ribs and do not remember anything from that episode either. All of this while under the care of a psychiatrist and counselor (sessions every 7 to 10 days). The last session, in the middle of another psychotic break (I had three taking this medicine), I told my therapist that I had hit a vehicle in the parking lot on the way in and that during an argument with my husband the previous day, I would have blown my brains out if I had had a gun. She did not call in the doctor and let me leave! I don' remember the drive home and took out the planter in front of my garage. I lost 9 days this time that I have no memory of. I could have killed somebody or myself. How can this drug still be on the market?

To Mary S.
I am going thru withdrawal too and luckily my emotional state has returned to near normal. I had terrible neck pain and spasms that eventually landed me in the ER. I had CT scans to rule out carotid and aortic dissections - fortunately negative. The following week I began having all the other symptoms everyone has been talking about.

I am still having neck pain - have you or anyone else experienced this: feels like burning, fatigued muscles - couldn't hold my head up for more than 30 sec - couldn't do anything, laying down didn't even help. I'm still taking vicoden on and off and scheduled to see a Rheumatologist (have a connective tissue disorder and perhaps this may be part of why I'm having so much pain).

Thanks

My doctor just prescribed this to me to help with pain and honestly I am afraid to take it.
Did it help your pain while you were taking it?
A friend of mine was taking this and told me they were doing really stupid things while on it so they quit it.
Is there anything good about it OR should I be wise and not start taking it?
