Hello! I have problem with TMJ pain in jaw. I have talked about this problem with my dentist and he prescribed me Daypro. I am not sure that Daypro is good solution for my problem, but regarding the fact that I am not expert in this field, I am asking you for help. Can you tell me something more about this? Thank you!

Hello! I think that you need to go to physician, because physician needs to palpate your muscles, shoulders, TMJ etc before any kind of treatment. This is needed for eliminations of treatable diseases. If it is necessary, physician will recommend therapy which can be: muscles relaxation, medication or both. Sometimes, Daypro is used for TMJ treatment, but that it is not usual.

i have found both the dentist and md worthless in my treatment of TMJ. An oral surgeon and physical therapy is your best route, IMO.
I am 3 days post op from TMJ surgery. I started seeing my oral surgeon in November and he did specific tests to see the damage and problems I was having. Neither the dentist or md did anything but be amazed at the condition of my jaws and write me scripts for pain meds.
