Daypro belongs in class of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications. Its generic name is oxaprozin. It can be used in bursitis because is both effective as pain reliever and inflammation. I use 1200mg daily, 2 600mg caplets, that is recommended dose in rheumatoid arthritis. Daypro is prescription medication, not otc, so, if I were you Id consult my physician first.
