Hi, I have headaches, dizziness, my jaws hurts. The biggest problem is that my jaw no longer works correctly. Why can’t I open my mouth completely anymore? Could I have TMJ?

I have TMJ for about 8 months. By now I have seen many doctors, and at first they were giving me pain killers and I got a splint. It was very hard to get used to it. I am going to have to get braces. One maxillofacial surgeon explained to me that he could fix the problem with jaw hinge replacement surgery, by using one of my ribs for replacement hinges. Other option would be the stainless steel replacement. Both surgeries would be about $50,000, and that is too much for me. So I had to learn to live with it. When I purchase braces, I hope to find a solution.
