i do not recomment this shot. i am eighteen and im taking care of myself as i dont want to end up pregnant i have other goals. But im reading other peoples feedback and the side effects are very similar my period is much longer than it was before, and the bleeding doesnt diminish its just as if it was my first period day every other day! this ruins sex,i dont feel comfortable at all. yeah nobodys body will react the same but ^ i see how many people, probably more than there should are going under the same circumstance.

Just to avoid teh confusion at the start, I'm not "defending Depo", but if you thought that your periods will disappear after the first shot, well then... Guess you should have read the instructions and prescribing information more carefully - that way you wouldn't be disappointed now. Depo does (for majority of women) stop their periods completely, but after about a year of use. But, far bigger thing that women should think about when they are considering Depo is the fact that it is proven to contribute to lower bone density and osteoporosis after two years of use - and that damage is not reversible.
