I had an epidural with my first child 2 years ago. Before I left the hospital she started giving me hard time nursing. This continued consistanly for the first 9 weeks. It never caused any weight problems so the doctors were unconcerned. I continued to periodically have a hard time getting her to nurse for 9 months. I guess what my question is can an epidural have a long term effect on an infants sucking reflex?
