I am on the birth control pill and it has been years and just recently I started 8 days early. I still had 8 pills left to take and started. I haven't been super stressed out or any change in my diet. Does anyone know what could cause this?

sometimes it can be break thru bleeding. however, given that it occured so late in your cycle, i would think there is something else causing it. however, i'm not real sure. i do think that when that does occur, you are supposed to stop taking your pill, and after the period ends, start a new pack of pills. i could be wrong, but i think that is fairly accurate. it probably wouldn't hurt to contact your doctor, or call a pharmacist where you had the rx filled. either one of those medical professionals could most likely answer your questions.
