I was on the maximum dose of Effexor XR & Adderall Xr for 15 years.  My doctor said 47 days beginning to end to detox from both.  My pcp said 1 - 2 years to do it safely.   I am about 2 weeks off of Adderall and 3 days off of my last Effexor XR pill.  I have been suffering with so many withdrawal symptoms, you just can’t understand if you haven’t been through it yourself.  I just found this site & have read everyone’s comments.  Thank you for all of the words of encouragement to those of us in the early time  of detox. And all the helpful information on how to make things a little more easy to handle.  This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done and that’s saying alot since I’m an army veteran from back when boot camp was hell & the drill sergeants were in your face (not from the last 6 years or so when boot camp is basically summer camp).   Good luck to everyone who is getting off of this medication!  You’ve given me hope that I’m not alone in my suffering and my withdrawal symptoms will stop
