Reading all these posts made me feel inclined to share my own story and hopefully give some relief to anxious or insecure guys out there. I had an descended testicle removed when I was around 6 months old or so. I never really noticed anything was different until I started questioning the term "balls" to myself (lol). Around my pre-teen years, my mother had explained my condition and I felt weird about it which grew to insecurity as I became an adolescent. I always felt very ashamed and embarrassed about the fact. With the first girl I had ever had sexual experiences with, I was too scared to even let it be seen (she never found out for a whole 6 months). The next girl, I finally told (which made me EXTREMELY nervous at the time). To my surprise, she did not care and actually LIKED it and found it sexually interesting. Growing up, I have now learned to be confident with myself. This condition does not make us any different - in fact, having one testicle sometimes overcompensates for testosterone. Most girls will not even notice, so you don't really have to explain anything unless you plan on being in a relationship with them. This always leads to a conversation in which they somehow seem to be more awkward than I about it. Anyways, the moral of the story is, for all you insecure people out there (like I once was), if you understand your condition and are confident with your own body, there is nothing to worry about. You do more harm by letting yourself be socially hindered by it. You will live a normal, happy life. :)

The thing I'm worried about is whether only having 1 affects puberty. I lost my left one and I have noticed that my armpit and public hair grows less on that side of my body.
Also, I am underweight but eat much more than most of my friends, that could be unrelated but if anyone's has had anything similar could you please explain what you did.
Seriously guys thanks so much, I felt like I was alone in this but you've all really helped.

My best friend had the same issue as you and lost his left testicle when he was young. He was very self-conscious about only having one testicle as you no doubt are as well.
He was also underdeveloped I'm not sure if that was related to only having one testicle either. He did go on to develop normally and everything worked out fine he never had a prosthetic testicle put in but he became more comfortable with having one testicle and just learned to accept it.
It sounds like at 14 and well into puberty that you are developing just as you should be for the most part being underweight and not having even hair growth could just be just the way you are growing and not related to your testicle missing.
A visit to your own doctor would be your best bet and your doctor can answer all your questions.
Does your doctor monitor your testosterone levels at different times not sure if that would impact your develop but since your developing normally for 14 nothing to worry about but still worth seeing your doctor to make sure.
As you know even with one testicle everything works just as it should so you will be able to have a completely normal life with one testicle.
The challenge may be accepting it but with the option of having a prosthetic testicle at 17 that will give you the opportunity to look the same as other guys.
Your still a normal boy with no doubt the same concerns as any guy your age the having one testicle can be looked at as having a unique feature and the operation is always an option if you feel you want it.
Your not alone and you will grow up to lead a perfectly normal life with one testicle.

Hi guys,
This is Corey or you can call me Ziggy. I also have an only one testicle (right) since I was born with undescended and one testicle. Honest, it came out of my trauma having an only one testicle around ten (10) or eleven (11) years old. It growing up as one testicle with whole my life. Never got an operation or surgery from feel or felt undescened in my life but lucky I have an undescened. In many years ago, I had a happy life and bit embarrassed about my right one testicle because I guess they did not say anything noticed by having an one testicle. I grew up in American School for the Deaf (ASD) and honor high school graduated. I had many experiences for years. I do jerk off because trying to save my sperm and hating feel turned on or want jerk off. I love cum (sperm) with my hand wet and juicy. Laugh in silence.
By the way, at three (3) years old as was gay label through adult. Now I am thirty (30) years old. I was sexuality confused in few months ago because do I like women? Or men? I was so confused and already talked with my counselor about sexuality label. But I dislike to see say definitely label who I am. So I am definitely sexuality label. I am human being. Also at twenty-eight (28) years old got have a schizophrenia and depression. Now I am thirty (30) years old. And I am mixes of Black and Cherokee Native American.
