Hi Everyone,

I have come here with a problem - i dont know how serious it is.. I am 24 and healthy guy. My problem is whenever i get an erection, my foresking fails to retract behind the glans portion, i.e., the width of the foreskin is very small so as to move behind the glans. and when i try to move the foreskin up and down, it allows only a part of glans to be exposed. Is this normal? or i need to get circumcized, please let me know as i have to get married in due course.

Valuable suggestions will be appreciated!

Hi, depends if it is causing you discomfort. Try masturbation firstly, and gently pulling it back, might take daily work, over a good month, if this fails, go to the Doctor request a light cortosone cream, which you can apply underneath the foreskin, and masturbate, this sometimes helps stretch the skin.

i used to be extremely concerned about this, but no worries!! i have had a lot of experience with a tight foreskin and being uncircumcised

if you are uncircumcised, and you were never taught to pull your foreskin back all the way, don't be surprised if your foreskin is extremely tight and the head of your penis is extremely sensitive the first time you try it. if you've never tried pulling your foreskin back all the way, try it now! it will hurt...i know it will...but you really need to work through the pain. your goal at the end is to be able to pull the skin all the way back (over the ridge and a little further than that...) and be able to touch the head of your penis without flinching.

the first couple times it may seem impossible to get it all the way back, but you must do this. don't worry about the foreskin tearing or breaking in any way, your body was built for this. i tried stretching excercises for about a year, but never made much progress since i was always too hesitant to realllllly pull back and make contact with the head of my penis.

things started getting 20000% better for me when i started having sex. it hurt like hell at first, but after doing it a couple more times, my penis head is wayyyyy less sensitive, and my skin pulls back so easily! it really only took 7 or 8 tries. it was the best way for me to force myself to work through the pain. you may need a very supportive and understanding girlfriend to help you work through this though.

if you have any specific questions or concerns about anything, reply to my topic that i posted yesterday titled "tight foreskin problems?? read this now!!" ... i willl get an email when you do. good luck!!

Hey. I just wanted to know if you used the Cortosone cream yourself? I live in Sydney, and im glad to see an Australian talking about a product i know that exists in this country.

Mate, i just wanted to know if you used it and if you recommend it? Mums got a stash of cortosone creams of different strengths (light and heavy), and if you think it works, im really keen to start what your suggesting. Any tips would be awesome.

Thanks.

But when it is erected, i cant pull it over the head. Is it still possible to have sex, or should i see a doctor first?

Hi Capparis:

Do not worry! This is not serious and you do NOT need a circumcision.

You are blessed with a foreskin. Many guys would envy your foreskin even though it does not retract. You display great wisdom in wanting to avoid circumcision. Do not be worried. You are normal for your age.

To retract the foreskin, one must grab the foreskin on the shaft and pull it rearward, but do not force it. If the foreskin will not retract then you must consider leaving it as it is or doing stretching exercises to make it retractable. You are fortunate to have a choice.

Having sex with a non-retractile foreskin depends on just how tight your foreskin is. If it is really narrow and absolutely won't retract, then you can have penetrative sex without pain. On the other hand, if it just a little bit tight, then it is likely to be forced back during sex and that will hurt because it is tight. In that case, it probably would be better to stretch your foreskin until it glides easily back and forth

It is not necessary to have a foreskin that will retract. Some men live their entire lives with a non-retractable foreskin. They can masturbate, have penetrative sex, get married, and father children with a foreskin that does not retract. Some
believe that a penis with a non-retractile foreskin has more sensation and that sex is better. One just needs to see that your partner is well lubricated before you attempt penetration. One may need to add some personal lubricant if she does not lubricate.

Almost all boys are born with a foreskin that does not retract. This is normal. It takes years for the ability to retract to develop. About ½ of boys have a retractable foreskin by 10.4 years of age. Many adolescents still have foreskins that have tips that are too narrow to pass back over the penis head. These foreskins may be gently stretched over a period of time to cause them to widen.

It is normal for teens to have a foreskin that does not retract. One’s foreskin is still developing. If you want your foreskin to retract (not everyone wants a retractable foreskin), then you can help it develop ability to retract by stretching it.

If you choose to stretch your foreskin, then the goal is to have a foreskin that glides smoothly back and forth so as to provide maximum pleasure.

When your penis is erect, gently pull your foreskin back against the head of the penis. As the head attempts to pass through the foreskin it will stretch the skin a little. Do this several times a day and in a few weeks or months your foreskin will widen and you will be able to retract your foreskin. Do NOT force retraction. Do NOT cause yourself pain.

It works by tissue expansion. Stretching skin induces “mitosis” which is a word that means “division of cells”. New skin cells are formed and the skin expands but it takes some time. The increase in size is permanent. Be patient and give mitosis time to work.

The important thing is to put the skin under tension every day so that it will grow wider.

Hi Guest:

Unfortunately for you that your mom was a nurse, because you could have stretched your foreskin and kept it.

Hi Capparis:

You are blessed with an erogenous, highly-innervated, protective foreskin. Many circumcised guys would envy your foreskin even though it does not retract. You display great wisdom in wanting to avoid a harmful, injurious and painful circumcision. Do not be worried. You are normal for your age.

You are very fortunate to have parents that did not circumcise you. You have a whole, complete penis so you have sex the way nature intended it.

If you want your foreskin to retract (not everyone wants a retractable foreskin), then you can help it develop ability to retract by stretching it. Lots of guys do it. It works.

Topical steroid ointments are available by prescription. They thin the skin and make it more retractable. The most commonly use steroids are bethamethasone valerate 0.05% and clobetasol proprionate 0.05%. The ointment should be used in combination with a regime of twice daily stretching.
