Hello-

I currently have perm. hems which I have considered getting surgury as they complicate my life-- but as I read these honest and vulnerable people sharing their horror stories I think I will pass.  It seems that the most painful part about everything is passing BMs...

I am shocked at all this-- and I am going to ask-- what is the remedy for this??  Any doctors and surgeons give hydrocolon therapy before surgury to reduce the ammount of BMs???? (If this is not recommended--- I cant imagine why).  I hear of people being afraid to eat-- but I wonder-- would being NPO during the course of healing help reduce the pain and allow some normalicy?  Parenteral nutrition gives your body all you need through the bloodstream and you wont starve at all-- will feel hungry tho.  I would think that the feeling of hunger would be better than the agony that is so frequently described.  Geeze.

Good luck to all you out there sufering
