Hello, my friends. My friend has recently established that he has a cockroach allergy. I think he didn’t see a doctor about this. I would like to know how this kind of allergy can be diagnosed. I would really appreciate if someone could tell me this. Thank you in advance. Bye!

Hello to you too. Cockroach allergy is caused by saliva, feces or the bodies of these insects. Symptoms are similar to asthmatic ones. That is why experts recommend to all who have these symptoms to get tested for cockroach allergy. Diagnosis can be set only by skin test. It can be either prick or scratch test. On the prick or scratch, a doctor puts cockroach extract. If one is allergic, a swelling, redness or itching will appear on the place where extract is put. I hope this helps. Bye!
