I am scared because I read so many bad things about side effects of this medication and I think I could survive without it for now. Because I work at school very easily I can get lots of infections from students, are you on it and is it helping you?

I am not on it right now, no, but I know that the side effects of the infections are pretty low. If you can, one thing you can do is search for the percentages of rates for certain side effects on these drugs. When you do that, you see how really rare these instances are. For example, I was worried about taking a drug and it turned out that the copmlication I was worried about happens in less than 1% of the cases. Hardly a cause for concern, right?
