I was on 3mg. and have been weaning for the last 2 years, I am now down to taking half of a half. I decided to go cold turkey. He said it was ok to do this, since it was such a low dose. But if I feel really rough take 1/2 of the 1/2, it helps to take the edge off. He said not to deprive myself from sleep, if real bad at night and can't sleep, take the .5mg. I try to keep motivated and active. If I am out and about it helps. I can go 2 or 3 days without any. Then if anything happens I get upset easily, then I have to take some. Split your .5 down to 1/2 of that. I don't take it unless I really really need it. I am almost off, but I still have the withdrawal symptoms. Keep well hydrated, make sure you eat good, stay active. Get outside to get some fresh air, go for a drive. Try to stay very active, keep your mind busy, all this helps me. Hope this helps, I know your nightmare, been taking me 2 years to do this. It's rough. Good luck!!

Hi. Are you better now? I stopped .05 mgs. on October 3, 2015 and I'm still having withdrawal symptoms. On Thanksgiving I started having horrible diarrhea and it hasn't stopped yet. I've been taking over the counter Benadryl to help me sleep. Any advice?

It is really hard for me to write what I want to say; I feel klonopin has defiantly ruined my brain and my body. I had been on this drug for 14 years dose was 2mg a day, when I thought I could manage life I could cut back only 1/2 of a pill but not for very long. I am now over three months of not taking this Hell drug. I was told that klonopin woud not harm me by several Drs but in the same note I was feared by them to take it away. I never abused this drug. In Oct. of 2017 I had enough, I was tired of this pill. I quit cold turkey...not knowing I could have died or how much Hell I would be in and still am. I fear this drug so I will never go back on it. Just wanted other readers to know what happened to me. Lost weight wasn't hungry plus my jaw hurt when I chewed. My brain felt half restarted and like it was on a acid trip. I couldn't talk right, my husband now tells me he thought I had tourettes, I would repeat myself I couldn't stop. i didn't want to be around anyone. I would cry not understanding what was going on with me. I was angry, dizzy my head would buzz. I felt I wasn't real. I still can not sleep, it absolutely is driving me crazy! My back, neck, legs, ankles feet you name it hurts to the point of no return. I'm taking only Advil 800mg every 4 hrs if needed. Rarely works. "I just lost my thought" Somethings have eased up. Dizziness, brain buzzes tourette like syndromes. My anger and cry spurts have lessened. I can be around people at times. Weight is going back on, jaw still hurts not as bad. other stuff still there. i wish someone could tell me when I will feel 100% again. Hang in there with me, thats all we can do.

I've been on Klonopin for almost three years now and have experienced memory loss at times. Has anybody experienced this, and does it go away after the drug is no longer being taken? Thanks, guys.

I've been on Klonopin for 23 years. 1, 2, 3 mgs daily. Now, from out of the blue, the doctor started detoxing me. He's cut me 2 mgs in one month. I'm having bad withdrawal. Am I being taken down too fast?
