Monistat 1 day or night ovule- I'm a 30 yr old female W history of yeast infections, my ob/gyn and I are on the same page, I just have delicate lady parts and also am more susceptible related to a slightly downward facing vagina and slightly kinked urethra (what the hell genetics) My most recent yeasty was because I was on Amoxicillin three times a day x 7 days after a root canal (abx always wipe out my healthy flora thus leading to a yeasty) I was driving to work and had to make an emergency stop for Monistat, chose the 1 day ovule, inserted around 8 am, did not have any issues until about 4 where my vagina literally ached/ was in pain, I went home, cooked dinner and was fine, then around 10p when Iay down to sleep I couldn't because of the intense pain, I wiggled around and tried different positions, attempted to push out the medicine while peeing, blood came out, was miserable for about 1 hr then inserted a tampon, allowed it to sit for about 10 min, then pulled it out, some of the medicine came with but not a whole lot, which is probably a good thing so it treats the infection, but good gad it felt like I was giving birth... back to the 3 day tx I go if this happens again, the "convenient" 1 day is not worth it
