My partner and I had protected sex on my ovulation day. He finished inside of me but from the looks of it, the condom was still intact. We didn't test it though. That night I started bleeding and with it came a lot of thick and stretchy CM. The next day, it was gone. I usually bleed around ovulation so that's not what concerns me. I'm now due for my period in a few days and I feel nauseous on and off. This has lasted for a few days. I havent any additional symptoms such as fatique or sore breasts. I'm not sure if it's all in my head but I'm quite worried, any advice would be appreciated!

Hi Guest,

Could you be pregnant?  Yes, but it is IS NOT very likely.

Properly used a condom is a very effective method of preventing pregnancy.

It's also not unusual to have some bleeding around ovulation and after sex.

Hope it helps.

Thank you much! I feel a bit better. Is there any explanation for the abundance of CM afterwards? I know that during ovulation it increases significantly, but this was dramatic and sudden, and lasted several minutes.

The mucous is how your body "cleans" itself after having sex.

Thank you! This really helped me relax, I'm probably just making myself sick from the worry.

Making yourself sick from worrying is also common. Especially if it's the first few times you had sex.

You did use protection guest. You did everything right.

Hope it helps.

I believe I had ovulation bleeding a day before me and my partner had sex, and on the day we had sex after I bled and had slight cramps. What could this mean?
