My last depro shot was in april 2006 and I decided to stop taking the shot after that so I didn't go in for my next apt. in July. The next 6 months I didn't have my period until Jan. However, ever since then I've been having unpredicable bleeding. Sometimes my bleeding is very light but lasts longer then a week. Other times I just won't bleed at all. Before I got on the depro I had normal periods, but now I'm just all messed up. Is this a normal side effect after getting off the depro shot? How long will it take for my body to get back into my normal menstral periods?

help! i have had two miscarriages in the past. The first was at 18 weeks and the second was a still birth at 20 weeks. After my last miscarriage my mentral cycle has been crazy. So for three years i have had prolonged periods lasting 3 months. It would first be brown and spotting and then it would come on heavy for about 1-3 weeks and then i would spot for about 2 more weeks and when i think its over after having sex it would come back heavy for about a day and then i would spot again sometimes it would stop for a few hours but then i would spot again. I have been to my gyn he did a d&c and hysteroscopy and nothing was found i also recently had a normal pap and ultrasound i have been on orthotrycycline low and it has helped but i had to stop becouse my pt was out of range. So that means no estragen for me plus i am ready to have a baby but my body is not allowing it now i dont know what else to do. I was taking 81mg aspirin for clotting but i but in may. For the two months that i was on them my cycle would last 7 days, but i stopped taking it during my cycle and since them i have had my period with only a day or two break. please is there anyone who knows what could be going on please help. :-(

I think any bc pill, shot or patch, etc., can make our bodies do different things. I know my periods got lighter and lighter while I was on the pill...Talk to your doctor and see what she thinks!

HI!!! I WAS ON DEPO FOR 3 YEARS AND I GOT OFF OF IT IN NOV OF 06' AND I STILL HAVENT GOTTON MY PERIOD. I JUST SPOKE WITH MY DOCTOR AND HE SAID I HAVE WHAT IS CALLED AMENAREA AND HE WANTS TO PUT ME ON PROVA TO MAKE MY PERIODS COME BACK SO U ARE LUCKY THAT YOU EVEN GOT A PERIOD I HAVE NOTHING GOING ON WITH MY BODY TO SHOW ANYTHING STARTING TO WORK SO IF U CAN GIVE ME SOME ADVICE THAT WOULD BE HELPFUL
