back in the begining of march i got a medication abortion. it went fine and i went to my follow up and everything was fine. but i didnt get my period on time after the abortion i spotted for 2 weeks straight in april and my official period came in the middle of may around the 10. and now my "period" is back. it ususally lasts about 5 days but this one is goin on day 6 and shows no signs of slowing down. i called where i went and they said it was normal. but im still worried. and i know this is my periiod and not spotting simply cause i soak 3super tampons in the day and 2 regualr tampons at night. i feel like it isnt normal. but everyone is saying it is. and if this is normal. then wehn will my period go back to its regular cycle

Hi monica! This is VERY normal after any "pregnancy" if via regular Birth, Abortion, Miscarriage, Etopic Pregancy! You can bleed for about 6 weeks and your hormones are in shock - so to speak - they think that you could still be pregnnt, then have to get over the fact that you aren't, then sort of like "they don't know where to send the memo" Did you get a period or not etc! - I always use office metophores!!! 8-| So don't worry too much OK! It should get solved soon! IF it is still going on by Friday, then definitely go back and adsk for an ultrasound - just to make sure there s no more tissue! And keep an eye on any temperature OK?
