I had injection 10/27/17 at S1, that was on a Friday around noon, on Sunday around noon ,I lost all taste for food, than the severe diarrhea started, had never experience anything so horrible, I felt so sick, weak , just a mess all the time, 24/7, on a Thursday night I went to ER to be checked out I thought I can no longer keep this up, where it all came from I have no idea, constant, no food, drank water to keep from dehydrating, got to ER, they said it might be c-diff and put me on meds, done test etc. after finishing meds I got to feeling better but still having trouble eating, Really I felt like I was dying, could not do anything except run when I could make it to bathroom, horrible experience but no one has said it was caused from injection, but I feel it was, I have had epidural in the past and never had a reactions at all, I am glad that I checked on here before going back to the specialist, I can tell him there are other people that has had and are having same symptom's after injection, that is my last one, not going through that again!! I had a injection in my left big toe on October 17 th 2017 hospital theatre I have had diarrehoea since and nauseu and loss of weight. I have diverticulitus. anywat and sometimes IBS.Mt diarrhoea is constant and doesnr abait I havw treid everything Doesnt matter whar I eat which is limiting anyway because of above stomach problems .By wnd November had a flare up diarrhoea pain that gradually has lasted ever since thar injection .Its now February mt birthday and I have appointment docs tommorow. Basically. It comes on from knowhere. Plus clyster headaches and pain then violenr diarrhoea All this question I asked in November to mt doctor can cortizone injections cause diarrhoea. Hi I had injection my big toe on 17 th October 2017 I have had constant diarrhoea and often violent epusodes plus cluster headaches severe since Cortizone injection 24/7I have been in pain gastric and derverticulitus flare up. ever since Doesnt matter what I eat I have been to docs several times they kept saying IBS other usual stomach problems I know it cant just be that I have lost a stone in weight since November and feel like sh*t I now have to be refered back ti consultant gastro its ridiculous .I even asked docs in November can cortizone injections give Diarrhoea said NO Really because here says different. Im end my tether taking immodium doesnt work other meds doc given me Even antiacid drugs Onzeprazole gives me diarrhoea as been in that before . Yes side effects diarrhoea this drug is one the side effects of that so was in double trouble Now have to see consultant again .I was even wondering if had MRSA again as had after appendixs op in 2013 doesnt ctually show up in blood tests MRSA ! I have a double appointment at docs tommorow . Even though I have derverticulitus. I never lost weight I feel no one lustening to me and in painiften 24/7 and spending my days in toilet. I cant eat anything without it going straight through me after a couple hours often even sooner . I know what to. eat and not to eat with my stomach problems from past . Im 73 today and having a sh*t birthday ... Everything I say to find my problem questioning my doctor inot being listened to because told in November Doctors say NO NOT CORTIZONE INJECTION COULD CAUSED THIS REALLY IN THAT CASE WHY IDOES S IT SAY CORTIZONE NORTIUROUS FOR CAUSING DIARRHOEA Have double appointment with head doctor my surgery tommorow I know she will do something as shes the best knows her job .

2 days after cortisone shot in 5-6 facet, I experienced unvoluntary express of fecal matter...yes, it was sudden and I could not hold it in. It was a horrible mess... horrible. 1st day after shot, I had very high blood sugars...200....and I was very emotional. Don't like these side effects at all. I am a female, 57 years old. This is my first cortisone shot.....and will be my last.

That definitely sounds like it's related. It's a symptom of spinal stenosis so of course it's directly related to the spine. I'd push for tests. I think they hit a nerve. Get a second opinion

Had cortisone to knee & hip. Next AM, uncontrollable mucosy diarrhea!! No Dr can tell me it isn't from the injections! I'm a 30 yr RN critical care. Still more diarrhea...mostly uncontrollable. Hungry but can't eat, starts again. Concerned about my electrolytes. Relieved to learn that others have had sa me experience, but praying for those who have! Prayers!
