I have heard something about Pheromones. I found out that is something like chemical signals that some insects send to other sex. I really do not know much about it, but there is something, that interested me. I was thinking if human beings have these pheromones. Can you tell me more about this subject, because I think this is interesting topic?

Pheromones are chemicals emitted by living organisms to send messages to individuals of the same species, and opposite sexes. The class of most widely explored, are the sex pheromones produced by female moths. These pheromones are used to attract co-specific males for mating. Newly definition is that pheromones are naturally occurring substances the fertile body excretes externally. This is used for conveying an airborne message to trigger a response from the opposite sex of the same species. Pheromones were first defined in 1959 as chemical substances excreted by animals to trigger reproductive behavioral response from a recipient of the same species. Some scientist were conducted the first controlled scientific studies to document the existence of pheromones in humans. Prior to their landmark research, there were no conclusive indications that pheromones were excreted by human beings. Now in 2005, the scientific literature recognizes four classes of pheromones: territorial markers, mother-infant, menstrual synchrony, and human sex-attractant pheromones.
