i took plan b some weeks ago, rite after intercourse without protection(partner did not ejaculated)
ive been having period for 12 days now...
is this too abnormal????
im gettin paranoid now... i know i keep having blood...
im wondering when will it go away.
its like almost 2 weeks of period now?
god...can anyone help explain this?
is this normal...plan b prolongs the period like this???
Should i check with docs?

This might be worth checking in to. I have read that side effects from Plan B should only last 1 or 2 days, however, it can make your period irregular at first. Your bleeding experience sounds a bit extreme. I would recommend that you have it checked right away. You wouldn't want to become anemic, even if there is nothing else really wrong. For that reason alone, you should see the doctor. Please let us know what you find out. Please don't ignore the excessive bleeding. Good luck and let us know.

Normally Plan B does induce an early period in you but it seems like 12 days is a long time! I don't think that everything is going entirely according to plan, so it might be a good idea to call your doctor and find out what's going on. I know that it's a little scary because things look like they're going badly but it's best to check and make sure that everything is progressing normally. PLease keep us posted!

Yes this is normal. I took plan B once and I will never take it again! I actually had just had my period so I didn't bleed much BUT it made me crazy lol.. I was like a ticking time bomb for a week. The bleeding is normal though, I believe it's kind of like a purging for your uterus.. Plan B induces a period that way if an egg was fertilized it wont be able to implant. I hope this helps!

Did it actually take 12 days like it has been taking for the original poster has it dissipated sooner? It would be very helpful to get some more information from you since you've taken the pill before so you can help littleduck figure out what else to expect. Thanks for keeping us posted!
