i had my period the last week of may and 3 weeks later had sex with my boyfriend.
the condom broke, so the next day got plan B.
i took the first pill at 3pm so i was due to take the second at 3am the next day [12 hours later],
however i slept through my alarm and took it around 11am, 8 hours later than was due.
its about two weeks later and i haven't had my period
i get the feeling that it may start, but im so unsure and very worried.
i did take both pills within the 72 hour time frame but its still nerve wrecking

Hi amm, I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling anxious but bear in mind that when you take Plan B that it does throw your period off quite a bit, so realize that's going to be the case and you're probably going to reset it to be on an entirely new date. Does that make sense? Also, since you had a condom break, have you thought about also going birth control so that you have a backup in place? I hope that you're doing well. Keep us posted okay?

Well you did take it in time frame. So I think you should be fine. You had forgotten to take the pill at 3AM but you took it as soon as you wake up. If you have symptoms that you usually have when you have period, that I wouldn't worry if I where you. Just wait for a day or two.
But On the other hand if you can't wait for your period, you can always go and get a HPT. Two weeks have gone so it should show you the correct result.
Keep us posted on your condition or if you need any more help.

thank you both very much, it was extremely comforting and informative.
its 2 weeks today without any period, but i have faith that it is just purely late.
and i was on birth control for a good year,
however having sex with my boyfriend was the first time in months, and before that i had decided to discontinue it, because i was beginning to neglect the set time for me to take the pill each day, and monthly payments began to be a little bothersome.
i'd only just ended taking the pill maybe a week before i had my last period also.
but i do have plans to restart on birth control, as soon as my next period reassures me to do so :-)

Well you have to know that if you restart your pill, you might experience some changes. Because your hormone level needs to adjust to pills. Also if you are considering to take another birth control you will also experience some changes in first month. This can usually lest up to three months.
I'm glad that we were able to help you. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.
