hi i had my surgery nearly two weeks ago and i still feel very much in pain i also now have an infection which in itself is very painful i am on the highest medication short of morphine injections but it doesn't take the pain away i didn't have the choice of keyhole surgery as my surgeon hadn't fone this particular op before the wound is healing but the whole area is still numb (like when you have an injection from the dentist before you have a tooth filled) the left side of my stomach is sore as is my left leg and all around the wound on my back i had sciatica before the op and i was hoping this op would maybe relieve some of the pain but it hasn't i can hardly move without pain and there is no relief from the pain so far i wish i'd never agreed to have this op

Hi! I am looking for pain relief for my uncle who is also suffering from sciatica. He has both pain in lower back, which radiates onto his legs and is causing him a lot of pain.

He is not taking any medication because he had cancer before and is on the macrobiotic food regime.
What kind of surgery did you have-microdiscetomy or lumbar laminectomy?

I was reading that microdisectomy is an outpatients basis surgery and that you recover quickly from it. What exactly was the cause of your sciatica? Disc herniation?

What do you think went wrong with your surgery? What did the doctors tell you? Are they expecting improvement in the near future?

Can you tell me something about the difference between these two surgeries and were you given options to choose from or the surgeon told you we are going to have “this” done?

Any information is more than welcome! Thank you kindly in advance
