I have undergone the hemorrhoidectomy surgery 3 weeks back. My pain has drastically come down. But still i could see some stiches are there. Doc told me it would fell of automatically. otherwise he asked me to come to his clinic so that he would remove them which i guess i do not want to do as i have already undergone tremendous pain in these 3 weeks. Has anybody gone through this experience before. will the stiches fall off. Can i wait till it gets fall of or do i have to take that pain again from the doc. Also there are some wounds around the veins which although doesnt look like external piles but fearing me a little bit. Will it heal and come back to normal ? Please advice

the stitches will eventually come off by themelves. If you constantly have sitz baths and bathe lying in hot water, and clean the area a lot, they will come off eventually. I had a lot of open area eg broken stitches that came off in the bath, open wounds were small but eventually closed up. It takes about 8 weeks to completely heal inside and out so stop worrying and keep it clean, and put antiseptic cream on it.
