i had my wisdom teeth removed in october. i was put on antibiotics for 10 days. i had sex 3 days after i stopped taking them. week later i got my period on time. now i am tired, my breasts are tender and i feel more hungry. what is the chance of getting pregnant on the pill, taking antibiotics and still getting my period?

I don't think you are pregnant considering you got your period but that's not always good enough proof.
The thing is that certain antibiotics do interfere with bc pills, making them less effective. In case you took some of the following antibiotics along with bc pills, you should have used a back up contraceptive and have been at increased pregnancy risk.
Antibiotics that may react with bc pills are: rifampin, penicillin, amoxicillin , ampicillin, cotrimoxazole, tetracycline, minocycline , metronidazole, and nitrofurantoin.
In case, you are not 100% sure, you better test.

It was penacilan (can't spell) and both the doctors office and pharmacy just said to use back up birth control while i was taking the meds, not afterwards. now i read somewhere that they suggest using a back up for 2 weeks after taking an anitbiotic.
