Hi! I am on Yaz birth control. Yesterday I noticed symptoms of urinary track infection and I went to see a doctor immediately. He gave me antibiotic, of course. Today I was with my boyfriend and we didn’t use any backup. Would Yaz bc pill be influenced by 1 antibiotic pill taken for a UTI?

You should use some backup! Birth control pills do not work with antibiotics. I think that one pill is enough to make birth control pills less effective. Anyway, continue to take your BC pills as normal, but you need to use a back up contraceptive, while you are taking your UTI medication. Be careful!
