I was on Ortho Tri Cyclen lo for  years. Started taking it when I was 19 now 23. Stopped in November, had normal withdrawl bleed, in December I was about 2 weeks late and it was spotty and lasted 3 days. Same thing in January. in February i missed all together. Went to doctor for preg test came back negative. In March  ( 51 days since last period) I spotted lightly for 14 days.  Then 51 days later again i started spotting again. I also started taking birth control again. This lasted a week and a half then turned into what seemed to be a period that lasted 7 days. After this i started spotting again. so, I have been spotting then bleeding then spotting for 26 days. I am wondering if this is caused by coming off the pill and then going back on it? I have also been having sharp pains in the lower right side of my back right above my bum that last about 5 to 10 seconds. I have been to the doctor and he is sending me for test, but they arent for 2 weeks. I am so scared that there is something seriously wrong with me. The doctor mentioned that it could possibly be pcos or thyroid problem? If anyone has any advice as to what this could be please let me know.
