Regarding the side effects of Potassium Chloride which may occur there is gas, nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, or diarrhea. If you experience any of this and if they continue you should check with your doctor. If you experience black, tarry stools, vomit that looks like coffee grounds or stomach pain or swelling you should check with your doctor immediately.     The most common adverse reactions to oral potassium salts are nausea, vomiting, flatulence, abdominal pain/discomfort, and diarrhea. These symptoms are due to irritation of the gastrointestinal tract and are best managed by diluting the preparation further, taking the dose with meals or reducing the amount taken at one time.
