For one who regularly takes a drink of sodium chlorite solution activated by citric acid, I would like to know if excessive citric acid intake will have any serious health implication.

As with all things in life you shouldn't exaggerate with anything. Too much of citric acid can create a bunch of problems. Symptoms of citric acid overdose are stomach cramps or pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, increased sweating and pain in the stomach area. If you notice any of these symptoms after taking medication with citric acid you should check with your doctor. There are more serious symptoms of taking too much of citric acid like bloody or black, tarry stool, or bloody or cloudy urine and this is sign that you should go and see your doctor immediately. Anyway you are probably familiar with most of the symptoms of side effects of citric acid and if you didn't experience any of the symptoms I have mentioned you are fine. So just keep the procedure the doctor has prescribed to you and everything should be in good order.
