Hi, folks. I cut myself last night on a glass and I got two stitches. Doctor said that I will probably have to receive tetanus injection in the morning. I would like to know what kind of side effects I can expect in this case. Do you have any idea about this? Your answers will be more than appreciated.

Hi, there. You shouldn’t be afraid of this. Tetanus injection is usual after getting open wounds on the body. Some side effects are the same as for any other vaccine or serum. Local skin reaction is possible. By that, I mean redness, itching or swelling. However, rash can also appear. You can also experience mild fever. If you think that your symptoms are more serious, than you should consult your doctor immediately. Good luck!
