Spotting vs Period. Plan B side effects.

I took plan b and a month later I started spotting on my period day? Is this a side effect or pregnancy???

I had my periods. During my 5th day of periods, me and my husband had sex but the condom broke and just to be safe, I took the morning after Plan B pill. i finished my periods next day on Friday and today is Wednesday and i started to have light spotting and now i have full on heavy periods. This is disgusting but i don't feel too bad reading others girls dealing with the same situation.

Ok so same happened to me. I had sex about two days after my period this was on the 28th he did not ejaculate but precum is my concern. I took plan b the next day and now im on what seems to be my period a whole month early. i just stopped being on it two weeks ago tho. Is this normal for plan b?

I took plan b 24 hours after unprotected sex with my husband . It was about 2-3 days after my last period ended .(so about 8 days after my last period started)The very next day after I took the pill i was spotting the brown stuff .2nd day same.3rd  day bright red spotting. 4th day moderate to heavy bleeding  . 5th day very heavy with clots . 6/7/8 now 9 days of gushing heavy flow with clots . Im depressed as it seems with still bleeding that heavy today on the 9th day it seems Im never going to stop bleeding. And from what I have read .Even if this does stop in the next day or 2 . I could still have my normal period which would is due in about 10 days .I took plan be one other time maybe 5 years ago .Nothing like this happened. I don't remember anything but just having my regular period on time .If it continues I will have to be concerned about becoming anemic and end up having to go the doctor .

Im the same poster that posted last with the heavy bleeding . I called the plan B hotline and spoke to a nurse . They have nurses to answer your questions 24/7 .She said my very heavy bleeding and the length it has gone on  is not a normal side affect /or side affect found in clinical trials . She advised I see my doctor . She asked me some questions about my history/health  and part of that is I have fibroids . She said that could be involved . That fibroids develop their own blood supply so my extra heavy bleeding and clots could be because of that but I would need a doctor to determine that . That women with fibroids were not tested in the trials .The good news is however, coincidentally within the few hours after I spoke to her it seems as if its lightened up .At least for now .Im praying and crossing my fingers that it keeps getting lighter. 9 days of bleeding and 4 solid days of that soaking through a pad every hour or hour and 1/2 with clots the size of a half $ gushing out was scaring me to death .Not to mention the utter mess and inconvenience of it .But the bottom line she said all side affects of taking plan B should always be mild or moderate at most . Nothing like what I am experiencing . But it sounds like they only tested it on women who have completely healthy reproductive organs . That would not include a women with fibroids or cyst or endometriosis etc .There is no evidence having fibroids can cause that kind of bleeding from plan B .But their is no evidence it wouldn't . Hi I'm so glad I found this site or I would be freaking out. I found out most of the spotting and other side effects are normal but I realized my hair has been thinning out. Is that normal too? And please tell me that it will grow back soon. Cuz I really miss my thick hair .

Hi, i'm 18 n totally clueless about what is going on with me. The deed took place on 6th Nov 2014 ( did it thrice but didnt use condom instead we used withdrawal method) I took ecp (levonogestrel) 32 hrs later. My expected period date was 8th nov but my periods came on 10th of Nov and lasted for 5 days (which was normal). My next period came on 16thDec(too abrupt for a 30 day cycle) & lasted for approx. 4 days (the flow was lighter than my normal n I soaked three sanitary pads). In b/w I did two HPT's which turned out negative (first after my first period and then after my 2nd so called period) Now, since I was too paranoid, I took ST Mom (misoprostol) (bucally) yesterday at 7pm and experienced blood spotting just once. I have taken the other dose at 10pm. I had pelvic pain like normal menstruation. N passed snot like gelatinous lining twice once with a clot) *Please note no other pregnancy symptoms have shown up until today other than thrush ( which began the next morning after the deed)

Im guessing its a side effect. Im experiencing the same thing

Hello im a little scared cause my last period was dec 29 2016. So i should be expecting my period before january 29 2017 i took plan be the. 17 of january after unprotected sex should i start spotting soon

I am experiencing the same thing right now! We had sex maybe a couple days after my pwriod ended.. We did use a condom. My boyfriend realized that it was broken before we even finished. We stopped immediately and he got my plan B.. A week after taking it, I'm getting brown spotting and cramps..

All my periods last 7 days, and to be honest I don't get any effects at all, never have. No sore heads, stomach pains. Nothing. Is this normal?
