Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any advice or help.

I had a thermal ablation ( balloon ) done on Mon, I was offered general anasthetic but was told I would get it quicker if i opted for local/spinal so I did, however the doctor perscribed me 2 tablets to take an hour before ( codydramol ) and that was it .I thought the Dr would numb me before hand and by the time I realised he wasnt going to he had already started.

The procedure was extremely painful, I cried during it and the nurse with me held my hand and tried to get me to concentrate on deep breathing ( she was fantastic ) she also had a cold cloth on my head and kept a fan on me and giving me sips of cold water. I had read up on this quite a bit beforehand but most of the advice/stories seems to be from the usa where evryone said it was a quick painless preocedure. I came home the same day with pretty bad cramping but kept it under control with the pain killers perscribed, tues/wed I started to feel much better, however thurs and fri night the pain has woke me up, ive now been awake for 5 hrs and am still having quite severe bad cramping, it seems to be a lot worse when Im lying down and the codydramol dosnt seem to have any affect. I cant find any advice on the net about wether this is normal, slightly concerned now as my local GP's is shut till mon and I dont want to bother the emergency clinic. Does anybody please have any advice please.
