Tips for Cymbalta Withdrawals

This is very enlightening. I recently found out I was pregnant so I not only weaned off cymbalta but also cut out adivan which I took every night to sleep for about 18 months .
I was on 60mg of cymbalta from end of January 2017- end of Sept 2017. I went from 60-30mg for a week then completely cut it out. I am on day 6 now without the cymbalta and I still feel as bad as I did in day 2 without any of the medication.
I too was prescribed this medication for neuropathic pain from a car accident that occurred in October 2015. I was prescribed many different medications but I didn't belief they were the answer to my pain problem. My thought was , it will only mask the pain from the injury and mask my mood swings and irritability I had because of pain I had day in and day out.
By January 2017, I did a lot of research on cymbalta and decided to give it another shot as I wanted a better quality of life with my family. Had I known then I would experience what I am now , I would never ever had decided to attempt this medication one more time.
I am not only scared about losing the baby by miscarriage because of the stress my body is enduring but I am scared for my own Health and sanity.
If anyone is coming off this medication please share your experiences.
My withdrawals range from , irritability, heightened senses (hearing , sight, smell), worst migraines ever ( severe pressure in righ temple... tender to even press on it to relieve some of the pressure ), dizziness, fatigue, out of body experience..(as though I'm living a dream not reality ), outburst of crying spells , outburst of anger , to feeling like I am literally going insane (crazy).
This is the scariest and hardest thing I have ever gone through in my life ..
please tell me it will get better

How did you go off Cymbalta... I started by subtracting 2 beads the first day, 4 the next.... I’m through a month and getting tired of bead counting and bought a scale, but how to do it. Teresa

I don’t know if it is one of these or the combination, but these are the supplements I took two days after stopping Cymbalta cold turkey. The brains zaps were gone in two days and I feel great.

Hello Mike, I am off Cymbalta after tapering down to 5mg from 3omg by removing microbeads incrementally. I have been off completely for about 5 days but I am still struggling with zaps and dizziness. I have started on 100mg of Wellbutrin, but how long can i expect w/d symptoms to continue? Can an antihistamine help?

Wondering if anyone had diarrhea when weaning off cymbalta? On week three of decreasing dosage through bead counting. Has been a steady ordeal for the three weeks. Making sure I drink lots of water and juice to replace what I am losing so fast,, but curious as to anyone else having this issue? Otherwise it is going well. Just not happy thinking this may go on for another two months of my weaning?

Ive been on 120 mg of cymbalta for 9 months. I am a 15 hrs drive to my home and can't fill my perscriptions 8n this state. I am bipolar1 and have MS. It's been 9 days since I've had any cymbalta. I'm hurting from my head to the tingling of my feet and ankles. I am also out of my xanex and Avenex for my ms. I have a couple of hydrocodone but I don't know if it's safe to take them. I am also on 3600mg of neuropinion along with other meds. I'm really hurting confused depressed and don't know if it's ok to take a hydrocodone. Any suggestions.

I am about to start it tomorrow. I have been trying to get off of this stuff and the nurse practitioner icy just looks at me like I’m stupid when I ask about it. I am so glad that I kept searching and found your posts

I started this almost 2 weeks ago. Weaning off Cymbalta, lamictal and Trileptal. Down to 2 cymbalta pellets today. First day I’m feeling horrible. I went and took another pellet. Getting magnesium and fish oil today. I’m doing it on my own. None of my doctors ever would and I have not found one yet who will believe the severity of the withdrawals. And when I tell them about brain zaps they look at me like I’ve grown a second head. I’m so tired of it.

How is it going now? I have stopped taking my 90 mil of cymbalta cold turkey and experienceing mood swings, headaches, hot flashes , I'm depressed and then feel more alive then I have been in the 18 yrs I have been on cymbalta. Wondered if you found anything to help?
