To start of...I used to have terrible trouble, I couldn't use tampons or masturbate at all. I went to see the Doctor who refered me to a gynecologist. My hymen was very thick and apparently causing me a lot of trouble, I was told that having sex would be near impossible or at least insanely painful so it was best to have it cut.
I thought they would remove it all and I didn't think much of it and I was given a set of dilators to use. It was painful but I thought it would go after a while but I soon began to realize that the entrance to my vagina was where the pain was coming from. I'm on the second largest dilator now but it still really hurts around the entrance when I use them...I discovered that there is a really thick flap of tissue (I think would be the best word) covering the opening to my vagina and that's what hurts. It hurts if I simply touch it. And using the dilators has done nothing for that...
I'm at a loss and I'm unsure what to do. Me and my partner are reaching that stage in our relationship where we're about to have sex but I'm very afraid to be honest...Especially when just poking this tissue with my finger really hurts.
What could it be? And should I see my doctor again?
