Is there a maximum dosage prescribed for Wellbutrin when applied to long term depression and PTSD?[/enc]

I know that wellbutrin is used for depression but it was perscribed to me for smoking. I had to take 1 dose, 3 times a day for the first week and was still allowed to smoke that first week. The 2nd week i had to take 2 doses, 3 times a day with no smoking allowed. When i started to take the double doses, i gotta say that i felt much better, mentally, but as i said i wasn't taking it for depression. I guess i was depressed because all of a sudden i felt great.
Your doctor should have talked to you (or the person your inquiring about) regarding the dosage and just how long you are able to stay on the meds.

Well if you are taking Wellbutrin for depression than I am sure your doctor has prescribed you the dose and he has probably warned you how much is enough and not to overreact. If you feel like the medication isn’t helping instead of increasing the dose by yourself you need to see your doctor and talk to him about this and maybe he will change your medications because there is no point in drinking meds which are not helping you.

How long have you been fighting this condition and how severe it is?

My sister is depressed after her divorce and it is going on for months now. Her doctor is changing her therapy and medications and I think that finally she is getting better now and she is on Wellbutrin at the moment.
