Many of us know what happens when you withdraw from effexor. I've had those problems too even when missing a dose or two. But there is hope!!
Effexor is an SSNRI. You can switch to another med Cymbalta (also an SSNRI) and experience NO EFFEXOR WITHDRAWAL. Cymbalta is a bad med in its own right and causes problems for people after long treatment when they try to withdraw.
BUT, use Cymbalta 30 mg as I did for only a few weeks then wean it off over 3 weeks (easy because you dump out part of beads from capsule) and avoid all the problems. I have been off all SSNRIs now for about 10 days. I do have some minor headaches (which I never used to have) and I take ibuprofen as needed. I also have some minor spaciness in the head (but nothing like trying to withdraw from effexor)
Try it I hope it works as well for you. Pass it on because I know effexor withdrawal can be a horrific problem for many of us and this let me escape!!
