This exercise is great for legs. To perform it you will need dumbbells and a chair.
Sit on a chair. Back is straight. Knee is forming 90 degree angle. Place a dumbbell on left upper leg but not on knee or hip.
With a limited motion start lifting left leg. Do not lower a leg to the ground and also never totally extend leg. Keep a slight bent in left knee throughout the exercise. Repeat this motion 10 to 15 times and then switch legs and repeat.
