my 1 year old is having what all of thr doctors are calling "episodes". he isn't having normal seizures. In march of this year he received his 8 month checkup and shots. shortly after that (within days) he started tightning up his whole body and his head would jerk for a few seconds. during these "episodes" he would not try to swallow his tongue or turn blue. His eyes wouldn't even roll back. the doctors have witnessed this and are not sure what it could be. If it isn't seizures, could it be a form of touretts? or tics? to those of you who know the difference or any ides please help me out. he has an mri scheduled this month on the 30th and he can't see the neurologist until september.

thank you,

Your child may indeed have Tourette. I am so sorry your child has to wait so long for the MRI and for the neurologist's appointment.
