What’s the mechanism of action of aciphex? It’s not common antihistamine because it doesn’t cause drowsiness. I have problems with acid reflux and I think that aciphex is good in its antiacid action. But I think that headaches that sometimes occur with no reason may be caused by aciphex. I feel dizziness and muscle weakness sometimes. Are those side effects of aciphex?

Aciphex is not H 2 antagonist; it works by blockage of proton pump in gastric cells. That blockage decreases amount of acid in stomach. I take ppi for gerd too and have same side effects. Sometimes constipation and nervousness with palpitations occur. But those symptoms are not that harmful so I can live with them.
